Anonymous Surveys
When Is Anonymous is checked:
- Respondent identity is not recorded
- You cannot see who submitted which response
- Encourages honest feedback on sensitive topics
Use cases: Staff feedback, sensitive opinion polls, honest event reviews
Multiple Responses
When Allow Multiple Responses is checked:
- Members can submit multiple times
- Useful for ongoing feedback collection
Use cases: Weekly prayer requests, recurring event feedback, open suggestion boxes
Close Date
Set a Close Date to automatically stop accepting responses:
- Survey remains visible but cannot be submitted
- Good for time-sensitive polls
- Responses already submitted are preserved
Survey Best Practices
Design
- Keep it Short - Aim for 5-10 questions maximum
- Use Clear Language - Avoid jargon and ambiguity
- Mix Question Types - Combine ratings with open-ended questions
- Order Logically - Start easy, end with open feedback
Timing
- Send Soon After Events - Feedback is best when fresh
- Avoid Survey Fatigue - Don't send too many surveys
- Set Reasonable Deadlines - Give members time to respond
Response Rates
To improve response rates:
- Keep surveys brief
- Explain why feedback matters
- Share how previous feedback was used
- Send reminder announcements
